How it works
Cypionate is testosterone bound to an ester that slows release, so a weekly subcutaneous or intramuscular injection maintains stable blood levels rather than the swings patients experience with less frequent dosing.

Dosing
Started conservatively, then adjusted after follow-up labs at six to eight weeks. Some patients split the weekly amount into two smaller injections for greater stability.

Questions
Yes. Testosterone therapy suppresses your own production and can significantly reduce sperm count. If fertility matters to you now or later, ask your provider about enclomiphene or HCG instead.
Typically at six to eight weeks after starting, then periodically. We monitor testosterone, oestradiol, haematocrit and PSA.
Injectable cypionate gives the most predictable levels and is what most patients use. Discuss alternatives with your provider if injections are a barrier.
